Reiki for Animals

I am a Reiki Master who specialises in offering Reiki to animals to improve their quality of life. Animals are particularly receptive to Reiki because they are so sensitive to subtle energy. They seem to find it relaxing and their carers often report that their animals seem happier and healthier after a Reiki session.

Reiki is a deeply relaxing, non-invasive complementary therapy discovered by Dr Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 1900s. The word Reiki is pronounced ‘Ray Key’ and can be translated as ‘Universal Life-force Energy’.

Life energy is known as ‘ki’ in Japan, ‘chi’ in China and ‘prana’ in India. Reiki brings harmony and balance to the body, mind and spirit which promotes healing on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level.

Reiki promotes healing in the body, mind and spirit and can bring an immense sense of peace and calm within, restoring balance and harmony. It can be given in-person or over a distance.

The many benefits of Reiki include:

Deep relaxation and stress relief

Relieving pain and discomfort

Reducing anxiety and tension

Improving quality of sleep

Lifting mood and energy levels

Aiding recovery from illness, injury or surgery

Calming and soothing stressed or nervous animals

Easing end of life transition

Promoting a sense of well-being, peace and calm

I tend to find that animal communication naturally occurs during most animal Reiki sessions. I am often able to pick up on physical symptoms, how they may be feeling and anything else they wish to share with their humans. I also offer cat behaviour consultations and can resolve issues between cats and dogs in the same household.

Please see below for the options of how a Reiki for animals session can be received.

Veterinary permission may be required before Reiki is offered to an animal, which is something that I discuss with potential clients upon initial contact.

In-Person Reiki for Animals

In-person Reiki for animals costs £35 per session, per animal within five miles of Swadlincote, Derbyshire. For clients up to 20 miles away, a mileage charge of £0.45 per mile is added.

Animals who enjoy human contact and physical affection will benefit the most from receiving in-person Reiki.

An in-person session usually lasts around 30-60 minutes and is offered in the comfort of the animal's own home or stable.

Payment is requested five days in advance via online banking or PayPal and send a written report afterwards.

Distant Reiki for Animals

Distant Reiki for animals costs £25 per session, per animal. It is ideal for animals who dislike strangers and human hands.

I request a photograph of the animal looking directly into the camera to form an energetic connection then I carry out the Reiki session as if they are physically present. The healing energy will be received by them as and when it is needed.

After the session, I send a written report and ask for payment via PayPal or online banking.

A distant session lasts around 20-30 minutes but this can vary greatly, depending on the needs of each animal.
